The Defence Forces
The
Defence Forces offer a broad range of careers to suit almost
everybody.
The Army, Navy and Airforce all have positions
both as Officers or as General Entry. Officer positions are
generally more management focused, while General Entry positions
tend to be more trade oriented. Each service has a range of
technical and non-technical trades, such as mechanics, cooks and
electricians.
The Defence Forces also offer a range of positions
which do not offer further trade training and have minimal education
requirements for entry.

The Australian Defence Forces Academy (ADFA) is a
campus of the University of New South Wales. At this institution,
recruits not only undertake training to become a Defence Forces
Officer, but also undertake a university degree in either Science,
Engineering or Arts.
